Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Jodi app and website, operated by Raju Dhariwal, D.D.S. TODO: legal entity. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Rishta and Dating to Marriage are for people who are single and genuinely seeking a relationship leading to marriage. Saath is for non-romantic companionship only.
2. Your account
Provide accurate information, use your own real photos, keep one account per person, and keep your sign-in secure. Family members may help manage a Rishta profile only with the knowledge and consent of the person it describes.
3. Community conduct
Treat everyone with respect. You must not:
- harass, threaten, abuse or demean anyone, including on grounds of caste, religion, gender, age or appearance;
- post sexual, violent, hateful or illegal content, or anyone else's private information;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your identity, age or marital status;
- request money, promote businesses, or scam other members;
- use Saath for romantic or sexual purposes;
- scrape, automate or misuse the service.
4. Reporting and blocking
You can block any member, which stops them from seeing or contacting you, and report profiles or messages that break these Terms. We review reports and may warn, restrict, suspend or remove accounts. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
5. Meeting safely
Selfie verification confirms that a photo matches the person who took it; it is not a background check, and Jodi does not conduct background checks. Take your time, meet in public places, tell family or a friend, and never send money to someone you have met online.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give Jodi a limited licence to store and display it in order to operate the service. You can delete it, or your whole account, at any time.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee matches or outcomes and are not responsible for members' conduct, to the extent permitted by law. TODO: liability cap, governing law and dispute resolution
9. Changes
We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes.
