Frequently asked questions

When can I download Jodi?

Jodi is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone. This page will be updated with a download link when it launches.

Who is Jodi for?

Jodi is for every Punjabi, every faith, in Punjab on both sides of the border and across the diaspora: people looking for a life partner through a rishta, people who want to date with marriage in mind, and elders looking for friendly, non-romantic companionship through Saath.

Is Jodi only for Sikhs?

No. Jodi is for every Punjabi: Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Jain, Buddhist and beyond, from Lahore to Ludhiana to Brampton. You choose your own faith, or prefer not to say, and you can ask to see matches from one faith, several, or all of them.

How does the values match work?

During setup you answer seven short questions about what matters to you, such as faith, family, food and where you want to live. Each suggested profile shows how many of the seven you agree on, so you can see real compatibility at a glance.

What does the verified badge mean?

Members can take a quick selfie that is compared with their profile photos. A verified badge means the photos belong to the person behind the profile. It is not a background check.

Why only five intros a day?

Jodi is built for thoughtful connections, not endless swiping. Each day you receive up to five carefully chosen introductions, so you can give each one real attention.

Can my family help?

Yes. Family members can suggest profiles to you, and you decide whether to show interest. Nothing is shared without your choice.

What languages does the app support?

Jodi is available in English, Punjabi and Hindi. You can switch languages at any time in Settings, and turn on large text for easier reading.

Is Saath a dating service?

No. Saath is for companionship only: daily conversation topics and Chai circles where elders can talk, share and stay connected.

How do I report or block someone?

You can block or report any profile or conversation from within the app. Jodi also warns you in chat if a message looks like a common scam, such as a request for money. Reports are reviewed.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can delete your account from the app's Settings. Your profile, photos and messages are then deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

Does Jodi show ads or sell my data?

No. Jodi has no advertising and no third-party tracking, and we do not sell your personal information.

How do I change the app language, text size or theme?

Open Settings in the app. Choose English, Punjabi or Hindi, turn on large text, or pick one of nine themes.

How do I turn on Face ID?

Open Settings and switch on Face ID lock. Face ID is checked by your iPhone; Jodi never receives your face data.

How can I improve my matches?

Complete your profile and the values questions, add a voice intro and verify with a selfie. Fuller profiles help the right people find you.
